The Pup Cup Dog Grooming Competition was established in 2017 by Jazz Fitzgerald, a Coffs Harbour dog groomer and passionate grooming competitor.

 

After attending many grooming competitions, Jazz thought it would be lovely to host one her my hometown.

So with the suggestions from other groomers The Pup Cup was born!

To her, the Pup Cup is all about a positive atmosphere and creating a fair ground for all. Rules, timing and entry levels are written to suit the contestants.

Here we don't see competitors as numbers. We see their faces, pop their names on their tables and introduce them to others.

Judges are selected based on experience in dog industry with personas that elevate and enthuse others to grow. Our judges assess the dog on the table and not the name or the face behind the groom.

With the Pup Cup growing, Sophie Corkhill (Operations Manager) and Sara Webster (Market Coordinator) have joined Jazz to assist in making this event the best it can be. 

Sophie Corkhill is located in QLD and has all the passion under the sun for dog grooming contests, exhibiting at dog shows and running a helpful booking software app tailored for groomers, called FurFlow.

Sara Webster is located in NSW and has been working in the pet industry as a professional pet sitter, dog walker and has her own line of pet treats called PS Pet Treats. When Sara isn’t making treats you’ll find her working alongside Jazz at Jazz’s Dog Grooming.​​

With education and networking being the main focus of this event, professional development starts here.

For sponsors and stallholders, We welcome anyone from a small to large pet industry related business or company to attend and be involved. 

With the competitive market we are true believers that everyone has something to offer and promote people to connect in person and not assume personalities or skills from behind a screen.

 

As an industry we have so many wonderful businesses, dog show exhbitors and groomers that have supported this growing event from the start and for that we will always be thankful.

 

The Pup Cup prides itself in giving groomers the opportunity to up skill, connect with others, showcase what they’re passionate about, refresh values and revive their goals. 

 

To date, the Pup Cup has occurred in Coffs Harbour, NSW, Durack, QLD and Cairns, QLD.
